TF-IDF Analysis

TF-IDF (term frequency-inverse document frequency) is a term weighting scheme that scores each word by how often it appears in a document, discounted by how many documents in the corpus contain it.

How do I find the words that are most distinctive for each document or group of documents?

TF-IDF weights each term by its frequency in a document and down-weights terms that appear in many documents, so distinctive words receive high scores while common words receive low ones. It fits keyword identification, document comparison, and as a feature representation for text classification or clustering.
